Palacios reveals plan for Celtic Posted on Friday, August 03, 2012 - 10:39 Head Coach Augusto Palacios insisted this morning that his charges will be under no pressure to perform against Bloemfontein Celtic tonight.
The 61-year-old coach who will begin his tenure as the team new head coach (in his first official game of the 2012/13 season), is however optimistic, and said that his players have what it takes to halt Celtic from getting a result from tonight’s match.
He said that for tonight’s game, Orlando Pirates will have the same approach it uses in any other competitive match.
“Orlando Pirates is about win… we have to win this game, as simple as that! We respect Celtic, we know what they want to achieve, and that is why we had our normal preparations for this game.”
He continues: “Cup games and league games for me is the same – we play to win in Cups just as we play to win games in the league; so why change things when our objectives going into the league and cup matches are the same,” he exclaimed.
“God has been by our side and we have done well - so tonight, we will go all out for a good result and try getting to the next stage.
"We have good players who are all in great shape and they know what is expected from them,” he told Orlandopiratesfc.com.
