Manyisa and Matlaba fit Posted on Monday, August 06, 2012 - 13:44 Orlando Pirates technical team will count on a full squad to select from when they take on Lamontville Golden Arrows on Friday night.
Midfielder Oupa Manyisa who dislocated his elbow in the MTN8 Quarter Final match against Bloemfontein Celtic over the past weekend, joined the rest of the squad this morning while full back Thabo Matlaba who was nursing a minor ankle injury has also made a return to the fold this morning.
Speaking to Orlandopiratesfc.com, club physiotherapist John Williams confirmed that the duo are in fine (medical condition) form, but will have to undergo a series of tests before Friday.
He said: “I initially thought Oupa’s injury was serious but medical results suggest that it was nothing serious. He did some work in the gym this morning with the rest of the guys and he seems to be okay.”
“He is doing normal training but we will continue monitoring him, and see how he responds to training along the week – the way he dislocated his elbow looked serious from where I was standing, but he feels fine.
The Absa Premiership defending champions welcome Golden Arrows on Friday, 10 August at Orlando Stadium.
