SAA Supa8

I would like to take this opportunity to wish the entire Bucs team and Management Good luck in our final on Saturday evening. With the talent and good mental attitude, we are sure to bring the silverware home.

It has been a while since beer sold for R 2.00 in Orlando!! With the teamwork that is being instilled in the camp, we are sure to come through with flying colours.

Can I just plead for us to take note of our left back weakness and cover it well as we know who Sundowns are going to use coming down that line. It will be humbling to see the stadium filled up in black and white colours!

Good luck boys and bring the glory days back home!

We are behind you all the way!!

Eish Mabhakaniya, we need a killer striker infront of the goals, someone who can score goals for us. I think Irvin Mhlambi will add value to our striking force. I have so much confidence in my team, the boys will make us proud if they can give it all. We need to make a nice farewell to SAA super8 by taking it home. Phezu kwabo Mabhakaniya....... Mabashe..........

I wish to commend the Orlando Pirates management, technical staff and the playing personnel for the wonderful job they have done so far. Reaching the third final so early in the season is an achievement on its own especially considering the fact that this is a completely new team that is playing. However, I want to encourage our boys to soldier on and bring the trophy to Mayfair. I strongly believe that if we are going to win trophies this season we have to start with the SUPA 8 on Saturday night. We have never won the SAA Supa 8 and now it's our last opportunity to win. I know with the way our boys played in the semi finals they can win on Saturday especially if they play as a team and they bury their chances. UP THE BUCS !!!

May I take this opportunity of saying I am a die-heart fan of Orlando Pirates FC, I only want to say please make us proud, and win the SAA cup for ours, I mean it is quite obvious that we have been in limbo for so many years (7years) it is not a mother 's child please Mabhakania a matle, ha ho weng teng , ha e hlome e hlasele,... Sepooko a se poke kgatheng lena – Good Luck!!!
Abel Mokoena (Orlando East)

Bibey Mutombo is the right coach for Pirates, he must be motivated to do more better. And he must also be given chance to prove himself.

He might also win the supa 8

Its time for us to lift cups again!

On Saturday 15 September 2007 should be the day we recognize the importance of what Orlando Pirates means to SA football.

What do I mean you may ask? We have the youth that has the passion of what football is all about in mzansi. The young players are the future of football in our country.

Orlando pirates immolate exactly what the youth of mzansi is, fiery, wild and long term concentration is not our strongest point as the youth of mzansi. This is proven at Pirates. We play the game with style; our players live our 1st value, PASSION in the middle of the park. The likes of Teko Modise, a young star that plays like he was born with Ibola [ball] on his foot. The style of the petite Chunene should show you the importance of investing in the youthful players. The wild feet of the cheese boy Lebohang Mokoena should warn world football of what they will face when they set their feet at OR TAMBO in 2010!

Bring it home boys, Ndizani nayo ekhaya! Jomo cosmos showed us what to do to Sundowns to upset their rhythm. Close them down in the middle. Their rhythm is there, Godfrey may be their key man due to him being out in the past couple of games. He is hungry to be back in thick of things. Surprise Moriri is an opportunist. He is only a threat if you allow him to turn, Nikita stick on him from the first minute. Do not let him turn. They play simple football in the middle to draw you in, hold the line Lehlohonolo. Both coaches have a lot at stake but it is you the players that are on the pitch. With Sundowns keep it simple and go for the kill on the break Chenene and Cheese.

Bring it home on Saturday!

Good Luck!

General Comments

I would like to congratulate Teko Modise for his brilliant performance of yesterday game. I was very proud to tell people that it’s one of our players. And I agree with those who vote him player of the Month. I am show he will help the team to lift at least a trophy this season. I hope he will do the same this coming Saturday match against Sundowns.

I will advice him to focus on his career more than anything specially women. Most of the successful men see themselves reduce to nothing because of women. Cfr Samson

Modise, I am show you will do better than Benny in the world… just be focus on what you do better and be humble.

To our web site, can you please give us a chance to speak to our coach or ask him a question? That will help us to understand him better and avoid same incidents like the one with Wits.
Erick NGOMA.

Our backline is doing wonders – it’s water-tight, but our main problem is to turn defence into attack. Our anchors are often not hungry enough for balls won by our defenders at the back. Even if they receive these balls, they loose them cheaply and we find ourselves under pressure pretty soon after gaining possession. This leaves our backline with no other option but to just clear balls aimlessly to our strikers, by-passing the middle field to cease pressure.

We only have one solution to this problem; let’s draft Destin Makita (The General) to the anchor or destroyer role. The boy is the excellent ball winner & well oiled distribution machine – he is world class. Let’s do it now - if want we to win the league, before he leaves for a European team next season.

Mr. Khoza bring back the prodigal son of Orlando Pirates FC Steve ‘Chippa’ Lekoelea to our supporters we love that boy – I’m begging you Iron Duke.
