Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm the appointment of Zipho Dlangalala to the coaching staff.
A teacher by trade, Dlangalala has extensive experience in youth development coaching and will be tasked with looking after the Multichoice Diski Challenge team.
The KwaZulu Natal born Dlangalala, plied his trade in midfield for Amazulu and African Wanderers as a player, before trading the boots for a whistle and clipboard. He guided ALS PUK Tawana during the 2010 Nedbank Cup, where they saw off Platinum Stars in the opening round, featuring a squad with the oldest player being 21, before succumbing to the Mighty Buccaneers at Orlando in the next stage of the competition.
His experience in development coaching speaks for itself, having had a hand in the development of some of the country’s best young players who turned out for the national team as well as other professional clubs, namely Siyanda Xulu, Keagan Dolly and Mahlatse Makudubela.
We are proud to welcome Zipho Dlangalala, and wish him a successful tenure with the Club.
