The biggest game in South African football means that many operational requirements need to be fulfilled in order for the supporters to be treated to a safe and enjoyable celebration of football, when the two giants of the local game collide at the FNB Stadium.
Both sides are well-positioned at the top of the table, and when the referee blows his whistle at 15H30, the fans can expect a high-octane occasion on the field, after being treated to some great entertainment and activity off it.
With that in mind, there is some essential information focusing on the event logistics which should be adhered to in order to make the experience a memorable one.
GENERAL SPECTATOR KEY MESSAGING INFORMATION:
Arrive EARLY and avoid traffic congestion
Come with your TICKET in hand
Tickets will NOT be sold at the stadium
Anyone caught selling tickets at the stadium will be ARRESTED
Parking is FREE – do not use and pay illegal car guards
The FAN ZONE will be open from 10H00
Stadium Gates will OPEN at 11H30

Orlando Pirates partners Vodacom, Caltex, LG, USN, Roman's Pizza & Greyhound will ensure that all the football lovers that bought a ticket for the Soweto Derby will be able to claim great prizes and be well entertained upon arrival at the FNB Stadium's Fan Zone.
The fan zone activities will commence at 10H00 end shut down at 13H30
Vodacom

PUBLIC TRANSPORT PLAN
PRASA Trains
Due to Technical difficulties PRASA Trains will NOT be operating for the Soweto Derby. The use of the arranged public transportation for the event is highly recommended, as it will ease congestion around the Stadium and ensure that you will arrive in time for the match.
Rea Vaya
Rea Vaya will be operating a service to transport fans from its stations along the Rea Vaya phase 1A and phase 1B route to the FNB Stadium. Fans will be dropped off and picked up at the Soccer City Rea Vaya Station before and after the match. Ticket prices are R30 for a single trip and R40 for a return ticket.
