Soweto Derby Ticket Update

17 October, 2018

Tickets for the upcoming Soweto Derby between the kings of Soweto Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are selling fast – so fast that if fans leave it until the last week to buy, they might find themselves missing out to be part of this football spectacle.

With over a week to go before the Mighty Buccaneers and Amakhosi lock horns – all signs suggest that this match will eventually be a sell-out. However, those who are still yet to purchase a ticket are urged to do so as soon as possible as only 9 000 tickets (8 000 in Leve1 and 1 000 in Level 5) are left.

Tickets for the match are available from Computicket, Shoprite, Checkers and Checkers Hyper stores nationwide. The ticket prices for general admission are as follows:

  • Level 1 - R100
  • Level 2 - R150
  • Level 5 - R70

Transport Information

For those fans who have already purchased their tickets, we have good news for you. As part of a new transport plan for this match partners Stadium Management have contracted Park & Ride to provide services for the event. The Park & Ride will depart from Fairlands Walk (previously known a WorldWear shopping Centre) with return tickets available from Computicket at R130.

While Park & Ride will be in place, road closures will be limited, and no pre-bought parking tickets will be required. Spectators are encouraged to plan their route in and out of the stadium and make use of one of these options for transport, as well as Metro Rail and Uber.

Gates open at 11h00 on match day giving spectators ample time to get to the stadium and enjoy the experience before the match kicks-off at 15h30.
