Working on confidence – Micho

19 August, 2017

Head Coach Milutin Sredejovic has praised his charges following their narrow victory over Chippa United.

In a night where there were debuts for two of his players; tonight’s match marked somewhat of a reunion for Sredejovic. It’s almost ten years since the 47 year old last coached the Mighty Buccaneers. Speaking on his return on board the Bucs ship, Sredejovic spoke of rebuilding the players’ confidence and getting them to believe in themselves.

He said: “We had a very tough game this evening. Chippa United took the game to us and at times they asked us a lot of questions….but fortunately my players were always on hand to answer to the challenge from the visitors.

“In terms of our overall performance, I would say there’s still room for improvement but in terms of the result I am very happy because this is something we targeted before the game.

“It’s evident at this point in time that we are lacking self-confidence especially from a peculiar season we come from. We came into this game wanting a win to regain confidence. We need to improve on certain aspects but confidence comes with winning and I have to be happy with that.”

Next up for the Micho and his team, is an away trip to Polokwane where they will face Baroka United.
