Forward Lennox Bacela joined Orlando Pirates from Bloemfontein Celtic in 2013 on a three year deal.

He comes to the club as a highly rated striker, this after establishing himself as one of the best forwards in the country.

This former Municipality worker revealed up on signing for the club that he comes to Pirates with the hope of reviving his career and in the process help the club achieve greater success.

“I think Pirates has the type of players that can help me play my best football,” he told Orlandopiratesfc.com.

“This is a team that is after success every season – second best here is deemed as failure so, I think I have the same ambition as the club that is why I joined the team; besides, when a big team like Pirates comes calling it becomes difficult to ignore the call,” he added.

Bacela broke into the professional ranks at the age of 25 in the National First Division. He played for Santos in Cape Town, before joining Bloemfontein Celtic where he spent three seasons – he helped Celtic win the Telkom Knock out Cup in 2012.
