Born in Port Shepstone on the South Coast of Durban, Ayanda started out playing rugby but the hard working defender was soon spotted by Free State Stars playing for his uncle's team in Mpumalanga. He joined Orlando Pirates a few years ago and has become a regular face in the Bucs line-up. His ambition with the team is to reclaim its position as the best team in South Africa, and Africa.
Malume defines playing for Orlando Pirates as an honour and says: “Representing all the people that have the club's badge at heart is an unbelievable feeling”. After his career, the athletic player would love to have his own business and create a foundation to help people in need to achieve their potential.
