Coming from a very poor background with no support, the midfielder feels grateful to have been spotted in Ghana by a football lover who sent him for trials in the UK. From there, Bernard went back home to Ghana and played for the national U17 team. He got a chance to play his first professional game with Heart of Lions FC.
The Asamoah Gyan fan then went on to play in the UK, Qatar, Congo and is now at Orlando Pirates. With hard work, his ambition is to become Africa's best player. Before he leaves Orlando Pirates, he would love his jersey number to be taken out as a legend of the club’s, “It will mean that I will have done exceptionally well under the Bucs colours”. Being a huge fan of athletics, Bernard also studies hard as he wants to prepare for his after-career.
