Following their impressive 3-1 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic in the Absa Premiership this past weekend, Orlando Pirates will swiftly shift its focus to continental football.
Whilst local league action will continue for the second consecutive week, the Buccaneers along with Mamelodi Sundowns, Bidvest Wits and TS Galaxy will be representing South Africa as they do battle in their respective CAF competitions.
For their first Preliminary Round match, Orlando Pirates will travel to Zambia where they are set to face Green Eagles on Saturday, 10 August before hosting them in the return leg on August 23.
Should Micho Sredojevic and his charges get through this challenge then they will face the winner between Angolan champions 1° de Agosto and KMKM from Zanzibar.
The club has registered 28 players for the upcoming two preliminary matches.
