Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Makhehlene Makhaula from AmaZulu on a one-and-a-half-year deal.
Skhehli, who has been a standout performer for Usuthu in recent seasons, will bring a wealth of experience to the Bucs engine room.
The Club would like to thank AmaZulu management for the professional manner in how the transfer of Makhaula was handled. Usuthu, through the leadership and guidance of Chairman Sandile Zungu, was transparent and cooperative throughout the negotiations, making the process quick and smooth for both clubs. We would like to commend the board for their conduct and wish them all the best for the remainder of the season.
Meanwhile, Makhaula who hails from Mohlakeng in Randfontein, has expressed his delight for joining the Buccaneers.
“I am so happy to have signed for one of the biggest clubs in the country. It’s a dream come true for me,” said the 33-year-old. “I am looking forward to meeting up with my new teammates and helping the Club move towards reaching their objectives.”
“As I begin a new chapter in my career, I cannot do so without paying homage to my former club. To the entire board, the technical team, my teammates and the supporters of Usuthu, thank you all for everything you have done for me,” he concluded.
