In 2019, the Orlando Pirates Learning Centre successfully opened two satellite centres in Orlando West.
The IT Labs at Thabisang Primary and Mbuyisa Primary School were upgraded with computers from the Orlando Pirates Learning Centre and have since been opened to all students in the surrounding communities. The courses on offer at these satellite centres are in close relation to the Orlando Pirates Learning Centre core programs focused on improving Maths, English and Computer Skills.
With the addition of these two new satellite centres, the Orlando Pirates Learning Centre is able to extend to one hundred and thirty-two more students than the current Orlando Stadium centre can accommodate.
The Orlando Pirates Learning Centre plans to open two more satellite centres in 2020 with the aim of making these learning opportunities accessible to students throughout Soweto.
