Lorch Wins Big at PSL Awards

The annual PSL Awards were held at the Durban International Convention Centre last night, bringing the 2018/19 season to a close after yet another exciting season.

Thembinkosi Lorch was the big winner on the night as he scooped two of the biggest awards while teammate Vincent Pule also bagged an award of his own.

Nyoso, as he is affectionately known scooped the PSL Player’s Player of the Season Award, which is an award voted solely by the players; as well as the Footballer of the Season Award, an award voted for amongst others, the coaches in the PSL.

Meanwhile, Vincent Pule walked away with the PSL Goal of the Season for his scorcher against Polokwane City in the last game of the season where the Buccaneers went on to win the game 3-0.

Defender of the Season: Ricardo Nascimento (Mamelodi Sundowns)

Midfielder of the Season: Hlompho Kekana (Mamelodi Sundowns)

Young Player of the Season: Teboho Mokoena (SuperSport United)

Absa-lutely Awesome Goal: Vincent Pule

Top Scorer: Mwape Musonda (Black Leopards, 15 goals)

Coach of the Season: Pitso Mosimane (Mamelodi Sundowns)

Assistant Referee of the Season: Emmanuel De Sani

Referee of the Season: Abongile Tom
