The Orlando Pirates Multichoice Diski Challenge team were held to a goalless draw by SuperSport United in a match played at the Sinaba Stadium in Daveyton on Sunday afternoon.
With this draw, the young Buccaneers trail log leaders Golden Arrows by five points with six matches left to play.
Meanwhile, the SAB team were made to sweat it out when they played against FC Porto in Randburg on Saturday. The Buccaneers were held by the visitors for close to 80 minutes before Katlego “Kuruman” Cwinyane came to the rescue to secure maximum points for the home team.
The SAB league goes into recess until the New Year with the Buccaneers in first place ahead of rivals Kaizer Chiefs and University of Johannesburg who occupy second and third place respectively.
