OPPOxPIRATES Goal of the Month January Nominees

The OPPOxPIRATES Goal of the Month competition is back and a lucky Orlando Pirates fan along with a First Team player is set to walk away with an OPPO A53s smartphone.

The Buccaneers took to the field four times in January, finding the net in each game as they went on to end the month with a three-match winning streak.

Nine goals shared among eight players have been shortlisted for the big prize, with winger Monnapule Saleng nominated twice.    

His two goals - scored in wins against Golden Arrows and Marumo Gallants - are nominated alongside those of seven of his First Team teammates.

Also making the cut is Deon Hotto, who opened the Buccaneers’ account in 2023 with a screamer away to Cape Town. He is joined by new signings Kermit Erasmus and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, who both got on the scoresheet in the 4-1 routing of Stellenbosch at Orlando Stadium, where veteran midfielder Thabang Monare and Club captain Innocent Maela each scored to also end up in the list of nominees.

The other players in line for a new OPPO smart device are Terrence Dzvukamanja and Vincent Pule, who both netted injury-time goals in the dramatic 3-1 win at home to Golden Arrows.

The winners will be announced by the end of the week, and all you have to do to enter the competition is simply vote for your favourite Orlando Pirates goal scored in January.
