Goalkeepers Wayne Sandilands’ absence in Orlando Pirates’ goalless draw with Golden Arrows last night was not due to a tactical change but rather due to injury.
The 34-year old returned from national team duty complaining of discomfort of his Achilles. The goal minder was later referred to a specialist who diagnosed that Sandilands was suffering from an acute tendonitis of his Achilles.
Sandilands is expected to return to full training later in the week.
