Striker Justin Shonga was on target in Zambia’s 2-1 win over Guinea Bissau in a Total Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier played at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Ndola on Wednesday night.
Stoppila Sunzu scored the opener in the 17th minute before Shonga added the second – and what would prove to be the decisive second goal, in the 52nd minute. Also featured in the match was Augustine Mulenga. Both Buccaneers were named in the starting eleven of the Chipolopolo side who now move to second place in Group K.
Next up for Mulenga and Shonga is a daunting away leg to Guinea Bissau on October 14.
