After starting his career in KwaZulu-Natal’s amateur ranks, Siyabonga Ndlozi rose into prominence while representing Lamontville Golden Arrows in the Reserve League football and was soon snapped up to join the Bucs Reserves.
A season-long loan at Orbit College gave him his first taste of senior league football during the 2023/24 campaign. His impressive showings for the Championship side ensured that the step to the top tier was inevitable, and it’s a leap he took when he was included in Pirates’ squad ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Possessing the rare ability to operate in every position across the back four, the talented defender’s first appearance in the match day squad was in January 2025 against Egyptian giants Al Ahly in a CAF Champions League group fixture in Cairo, where he promptly made his debut just 34 minutes into the contest.
Ndlozi regards the current chapter in his growing career as a dream opportunity which he is determined to make the most of by working hard to improve his game.
