Wayde Jooste is a Port-Elizabeth born attacking midfielder who was scouted at the tender age of 17 playing for Bay United in the Bayhill Cup. It was immediately after his stellar performance in this tournament when he was picked up by Bidvest Wits. Jooste moved on quickly to Bloemfontein Celtic for three seasons before transferring to Lamontville Golden Arrows for another three. He would join one more PSL club in the likes of Highlands Park before making his big move to Orlando Pirates in 2020.
Jooste aims to not only grow as a footballer with the Buccaneers, but also hopes to contribute to the team’s trophy cabinet by winning championships. The forward aspires to feature in the national squad and is determined to put in the performances that will get his there.
