The versatile Yanga Madiba impressed during his loan stint at Orbit College, and was called up to the Bucs first team ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The exciting player rose through the development ranks at the Soweto Giants and offers some valuable tactical flexibility through his ability to operate in various positions. He has had a taste of international football, representing South Africa in the 2025 CHAN Qualifiers before he was included in the match day squad ahead of the away leg of Pirates’ CAF Champions League quarter-final match-up against Algeria’s MC Alger.

A big fan of Real Madrid and Brazil legend Marcelo, Madiba has stated that he is grateful for the opportunity to share the dressing room with experienced, hard-working players such as Deon Hotto. When not refining his football skills, he enjoys unwinding by spending time with family and friends
